"American Restoration" is all about keeping America's past alive by restoring pieces of Americana that have seen better days. Whether it's a classic car, a vintage gas pump or an antique toy, a lot of elbow grease and a little TLC can go a long way in bringing these things back to how they looked when they were new. The first several seasons featured the work of Rick Dale's crew at Las Vegas-based Rick's Restorations, but now the show has diversified and highlights crews that work on restoring old items at several shops around the country, some of which have client lists that include some of the best-known celebrities and businesses in America.

Steve works on a Roller Skate Car from the 70s; Dale helps restore a rare 1929 Harley-Davidson JDH; Bodie tries to fix a 1930s Penny Scale for a local soda shop.

Bodie restores a 1941 Plymouth Special Deluxe for the CEO of Carl's Jr.; Dale is in a hurry to build a bike in time for his museum's annual motorcycle raffle; Andy restores a 1952 Shuffle Bowler game that might have ties to the mafia.

Steve works turning a rusted-out 1956 Willys truck into a BBQ kitchen-on-wheels; Bodie and his son transform a mini-Divco milk truck kiddie car from the 1960s into a souped-up go-kart.
